There are people who can help, they are called advocates and they will speak on your behalf. This will make sure that your views are heard without you, as a carer, having to endure additional stress.
Many of the voluntary organisations in Havering will offer support and advocacy to specific groups or areas - learning disability, older people, mental health issues and welfare rights or benefits. Other organisations would give support and advocacy solely to the carer.
If you would like information on organisations that provide advocacy then please contact: Voluntary Sector & Carers Co-ordinator 01708 434639 Or the Front Door Team 01708 432000
