The CON29 form (Part 1 Standard enquires of Local Authority 2007 Edition) consists of 16 standard questions, for example whether a roadway or footpath is maintainable at the public expense, planning permissions relating to the property and whether there are any proposals for the construction of a new road or improvement to an existing road within 200 metres of the property.
There are a further 17 questions on form CON29 Part 2 optional enquires of Local Authority (2007).
The enquirer has the opportunity to ask any additional enquires to the solicitors or legal advisor considers appropriate.
How long does a search take?
For some time now we have adhered to the voluntary code of practice in keeping our dispatch times within 10 working days of the receipt of the search. Our current turnaround time is 4 working days.
If you require a search urgently we will always be pleased to telephone you when the search is ready for collection.
Submission of Searches
Both the LLC1 and CON29 forms should be submitted in duplicate at the same time.
When submitting the search, the correct fee should be presented, (please see the Land Charges Fees & Charges). Cheques should be made payable to the London Borough of Havering.
Please give an accurate full postcode of the property or land to be searched against.
You should submit at least two plans of ordnance survey quality showing the boundaries of the property of land to be searched against, marked clearly in red.
