The government has introduced a new National Standard Planning Application Form which all local authorities have had to accept from 6 April 2008. All applications must now be on the new standard form otherwise they will be deemed invalid on receipt
We encourage applicants to submit applications online through the Planning Portal where you can create an electronic application, attach files of your drawings and other supporting documents and pay the application fee online by credit or debit card. Please note you must register at the Planning Portal to use their service.
If you do not want to apply online you can download the forms from below and submit them to us with your supporting documents and fee (if applicable)
Please note the government has also introduced new information requirements for applications. The new regulations set out what information must be submitted with an application so that we can determine the validity of the application. The checklists below confirm what information we require for each type of application.
The checklists include national requirements for each type of application, as set by the government, and also any local requirements the council can require to validate an application. View further details on the national requirements for planning applications and the range of additional information which local planning authorities can include in the local application requirements part of the checklist.
