- Webcasting of funerals and recordings of services
We offer webcasts of funerals in the crematorium chapel's at South Essex Crematorium for friends and relatives and also recordings of services.
Webcasting
Generally three working days' notice is needed to arrange a webcast. The service can be viewed live or for up to a week after the funeral. This is useful for those who are unable to attend the funeral such as the housebound or relatives abroad. Some families get comfort from being able to view the service again.
Families should book recordings or a webcast through the funeral director. This is so we can be sure that the family have given permission. We add the cost of the recording to the funeral director's account.
You will be given a unique user name and password which the family will need to be able to view the service online. This will protect the family's privacy and make certain only the people they want to view the service can do so.

Recordings of Services
There is an extra charge for recordings. Please see our current Fees and Charges.
You can order CD and DVD recordings of the service through the crematorium office using the Music Request Form. Please get the consent of anyone taking part in the service such as the minister or live musicians. We will display notices outside our chapels telling people the service will be recorded.
Recordings should be booked at least two days before the funeral. Wesley Music will generally send the recording to the applicant within one week. If you want the recording sent to someone else, please put the name and address in the special request box.
