Living 126

The latest issue of Living, number 126, is out now. Our main story is the news that £5 million is being allocated by Havering Council for improvements over the next two years to roads, pavements and street lighting to improve the local street scene. An additional £270,000 has been earmarked for pothole repairs following the severe weather conditions of last winter.

Inside, our latest 'Let's Talk' page takes a look at the funding of services for older people in Havering, while we also have a page of news for those in the 55 plus age group.  We look forward to the Borough elections on Thursday 6 May by explaining how you can ensure you don't lose your right to vote.

We have stories on the progress of refurbishment work for Romford Central Library, which re-opens next month following a 16 month, multi million pound modernisation programme. There's also news of how Elm Park's 75th anniversary was marked recently by a tree planting session organised by the Elm Park Regeneration Group.

We carry the latest issue of Havering Family Matters, the local newsletter for families produced by our Early Years Service, together with a special page of news charting the progress of the Harold Hill Ambitions project.

There's plenty of news about Easter fun activities, including a fun Easter Egg Hunt at Romford Market between 31 March and 3 April.

In this issue we also have stories dedicated to health, schools, and environment news, while our other pages are packed with the latest community news and events.

If you don't have the printed version of Living, you can download the PDF version on the right or from the Living page, where you can also see previous editions of Living.

If you are a Havering resident and have not received Living, please contact us, giving your address including postcode.
