A fun-filled week of play for children in Havering
Havering's youngsters will be able to take part in a range of activities as the third annual Playfest comes to parks across the borough. Aimed at children aged five to 12, Playfest offers a wide range of activities including craft activities, sports, face painting, a bouncy castle, eco workshops and mini farm.
A summer of space craft and sports fun in Havering
The summer holidays are here and the Council has organised a range of activities for children aged three to 15. Libraries across the borough will be hosting space craft and stories where children aged three to five can design their own lunar landscape and build aliens and space ships from craft and recycled materials including bottles, cardboard and foil.
Havering libraries issue alert on Bookstart book
Any parents who have recently received a Bookstart baby pack from a Havering Library or baby clinic should be aware of the board book, This Little Baby.
Harold Hill housing scheme to be considered
A new housing scheme, mainly focusing on affordable homes, on the former sheltered housing sites at Darlington and Chippenham Gardens, Harold Hill is currently being considered by Havering Council. If approved, the Council's partners in the scheme will be Notting Hill Housing and Countryside Properties.
Elm Park Library wins prestigious environment award
Elm Park Library, one of Havering's greenest buildings, has scooped the gold award in the Community Use category at the annual Green Apple Awards.
