Debt counselling
The London Borough of Havering do not offer a debt counselling service to residents. However, there are several organisations that do.
Legal advice
The idea behind the Community Legal Service (CLS) was for people to find help easily and feel confident in the quality of service they get from legal service and advice providers. The CLS aims to ensure that people can get help and information about their legal rights and understand how to enforce them in the right place and at the right time.
Power of attorney
Power of Attorney is a legal document whereby one person (the "Donor") gives another person or persons (the "Attorney") the power to act on his or her behalf with regard to his or her property and financial affairs.
Wills and testaments
When a person dies without leaving a will the law dictates what is to happen to their possessions be it a few pounds, some cherished objects or jewellery or a large amount of money.
