Langtons Refurbishment
The refurbishment works have been designed sympathetically to the building's listed status and in consultation with English Heritage. They have substantially improved facilities at the venue.
The works programme included:
• installation of central heating and air conditioning
• refurbishment of the ground floor ceremony rooms, foyer and staircase
• partial redecoration to the first floor
• redecoration of Langtons Hall
• installation of a new kitchen
• upgraded toilet facilities
We are pleased to report that both 'Phase 1' and 'Phase II' of the refurbishment works have now been completed. You now enter Langtons House through the Yorktown paved tunnel which is decorated with seasonal flowers in period urns, once through the tunnel you enter the warm inviting foyer with rich plush carpet on the stunning oak staircase which is surrounded by crystal chandeliers.
From the foyer you enter our two ceremony rooms, the East Room has been decorated with a duck-egg and white colour scheme, the West Room has been completely transformed with a beautiful gold and cream colour scheme. There is two breathtaking chandeliers added to the East Room while both rooms have rug- style carpets exposing the original parquet flooring, and new ceremony chairs to compliment each room. Our wood-panelled hall, is complete with new bar area, fully fitted kitchen and appliances.
Langtons doors are now open to the public, anyone interested in booking a ceremony is welcome to 'drop-in' without a prior appointment, between 9am - 11am each weekday morning, to look around and to speak directly to a registrar.
