Providing new homes for local people
At a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday 15 June 2016 Havering Council decided to explore proposals to build up to 3,500 new Council homes on 12 sites across the borough.
The aim is to provide new homes for local people to rent as well as some low cost homes for local people to buy, perhaps through shared ownership schemes.
The Council will keep ownership of the land as well as replace Council homes sold through the Right to Buy.
The proposals for Maygreen Crescent and Park Lane were explained at a drop-in session on Wednesday 27 July 2016 at the communal lounge, Maygreen Crescent Sheltered Housing Scheme, Maygreen Crescent, Hornchurch.
