Providing news homes for local people
At a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday 15 June Havering Council decided to explore proposals to build up to 2,500 new Council homes on 12 sites across the borough.
The aim is to provide new homes for local people to rent as well as some low cost homes for local people to buy, perhaps through shared ownership schemes.
The Council will keep ownership of the land as well as replace Council homes sold through the Right to Buy.
