​Older peoples’ housing review explained

At a meeting with residents on Friday 5 August, Interim Director of Housing, Neil Stubbings, explained that following a review of housing for older people in Havering it was proposed to close seven existing sheltered housing schemes and redevelop the sites to provide new homes for local people.

Communal areas at this scheme are situated in Cottons court - there is a laundry room with three washing machines and three tumble dryers, plus a large lounge with kitchen, which all tenants are welcome to use for any social activities. All communal areas and flats are fitted with a 24-hour emergency alarm system and access to all flats is by intercom system and CCTV.
