Providing news homes for local people
At a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday 15 June Havering Council decided to explore proposals to build up to 1,500 new Council homes on 12 sites across the borough.
The aim is to provide new homes for local people to rent as well as some low cost homes for local people to buy, perhaps through shared ownership schemes.
The Council will keep ownership of the land as well as replace Council homes sold through the Right to Buy.
As well as those 12 sites identified a number of parcels of land on the estate managed by Delta TMO ;have been identified as possible areas where new homes could be built.
We are also aiming to increase the amount of car parking available on the estate.
These sites have been discussed with the Delta TMO Management Board and we are now holding a meeting open to all residents from the estate to share with you the proposals under consideration.
No decision has yet been taken about any of the possible sites and no decision will be taken until we have heard your views.
Our aim is to keep you informed throughout with regular newsletters, appropriate meetings for residents and keeping the local residents and business groups informed of what is happening.
Who can I contact?

Local Lettings Plan
A Local Lettings Plan for this regeneration site is being prepared and will give details of the offers the Council will make as well as the help and advice it will provide to tenants, leaseholders and freeholders.
It should be available here later this month. We apologise for the delay in publishing this document.
