Central Park

Record details

An extensive parkland of open fields and undulating woodland providing opportunities for pleasant walks and birdwatching. The park forms part of the route for the Ingrebourne Way cycling​ and pedestrian path from Dagnam Park Drive to Petersfield Avenue. The cricket pitch is used by the resident club. There is also a large playsite with inclusive play equipment and trim trail. In 2014 a new skate park opened for local youngsters, and a BMX track is currently under construction.

Public transport
This park is well served by public transport and there are a number of bus routes which pass directly outside. Route 256 from Hornchurch stops at the leisure centre on Gooshays Drive, while the 174 from Romford stops along Dagnam Park Drive on its way to Petersfield Avenue. ​ Detailed public transport travel information and journey planner can be found on the Transport for London website​.
There is a large, off-street car park at Petersfield Avenue.
