A small, peaceful, ornamental garden in the middle of Upminster providing an area for visitors to relax. The medieval moat in the park attracts swans and a variety of wildfowl.

The gardens are served by good public transport links. Buses on route 346 from Upminster Station stop right outside the entrance in St Mary's Lane, as do the buses on route 347 from Romford town centre to South Ockendon. There are other routes into Upminster, including the 248 which passes through Hornchurch town centre, and these are a short walk from the gardens.
