Running alongside the River Rom this flat area of grassland is ideal for both informal and formal recreation. Pleasant walks can be taken along the river and children of all ages can use the play equipment, multi-use games ball court, skate/BMX equipment and outdoor gym. There is also a cafe which is adjacent to the car park, a bowls green which is used by resident clubs and local teams can hire football pitches.

Public transport
Bus route 252 stops outside the park gates on Mawney Road, and at the south end of the park routes 66 and 296 stop close to the park entrance on Eastern Avenue (A12). ​ Detailed public transport travel information and journey planner can be found on the Transport for London website​.

There is off-street parking available just off of Eastern Avenue.
