National Young Writers' Awards Free Competition - 2 April 2018
Book onto this FREE workshop to help you plan your entry for Explore Learning’s National Young Writers’ Awards, then write a heroic tale in under 500 words.
For the past nine years, our National Young Writers’ Awards has been encouraging children, ages 4-14, across the UK to unleash their imaginations and create some utterly brilliant, bonkers and captivating short stories. We aim to inspire all children; from the eager young authors to those a little more reluctant. It’s simple to get involved! This year’s theme is ‘Heroes’, children are invited to write a story about a hero in under 500 words. They can enter online at explorelearning.co.uk/youngwriters or post their written entries to us at the above address. Don’t forget to include your contact information so we can get in touch if your child wins - fingers crossed! Keep an eye out for the announcement of this year’s winner on Monday 18th June. They will be whisked off to Disneyland Paris with their family, and their school will receive £500 worth of books. These are not just any books, but £500 of books presented to the school by this year’s judge - David Walliams. The closing date is Sunday 29th April, so don’t miss out! This year we will be holding a FREE workshop in our Hornchurch centre to inspire and kickstart the children's ideas for their stories.
Give the centre a call to book a space and get involved with our exciting competition!
