Parking permits

We have placed a hold on all permit purchases or renewals so there is no need for you to purchase or renew any permit at this time. Parking enforcement of permit zones, pay and display bays, business and shared use bays has ceased for the time being in order to help key workers, people working from home, those self-isolating, or shielding vulnerable or sick residents.

Apply for a visitor parking permit

If you live in a controlled parking zone a visitor permit enables your visitors to park in the controlled parking zone you live in. Find out if you are located within a controlled parking zone.

Visitor parking permits are scratch cards for four, six or eight hour periods and can be purchased by residents and businesses.

There are a maximum number of permits per household or business and this varies between zones.

You can check the maximum number of visitor permits allowed within a rolling 1 year period using the parking permit zone lookup.

Scratch cards currently do not have a use by date however there might be some cards from older batches with a use by date in circulation so do please check before using them.

To apply you will need a MyHavering account and proof of address such as:

  • a utility bill within the last 3 months
  • tenancy agreement or rent agreement

Cost

One book of 10 scratch cards is £13. Refunds are not given for unused permits.
