Havering Libraries Service - What we do

Havering Libraries are free to join and open to all those who live, work and/or study in the London Borough of Havering.

You can borrow books and audio books, as well as have free access to the internet, computers and WiFi in every library.

In addition, you can access our online library reference collection, eBooks, eAudio and eMagazines, all from the comfort of your own home.

Additionally, all our libraries offer self service facilities to help you avoid the queues.

We also offer a delivery service for our housebound customers. For more information please see the Housebound Library page.

We have events for all ages, including talks, crafts, IT support, reading groups, author visits and more. We also offer a range of pre-school activities.

All libraries are equipped with photocopying facilities and study space. Meeting rooms are available for hire in various libraries.

We have a Local Family and History Centre situated in Romford library, with information about the borough and its history. For more information, please see the Local Studies page.

We are  also part of a growing libraries consortium, which means you can use your Havering Library card in over 150 branch libraries and counting, giving you access to over 6,000,000 items of stock.

You can use this site to search the catalogue, as well as reserve any titles you wish to borrow.
