Get involved with the Havering Youth Offending Service

We have opportunities every September for sessional staff.

These roles are for bank workers who we ask to deliver group work and individual sessions with young people.

This could be in terms of reparation activities or work with young people on a court orders.

We also have opportunities for members of the community to be involved with delivering community panels to look at referral orders.

Referral orders are the first court order young people are sentenced to if the offence committed meets the sentencing threshold.

The purpose of referral orders is to rehabilitate young offenders, re-integrate them back into their communities and to enable them to undertake reparation to the victim of their offence to repair any harm caused.

Community panel members play an important role as they will meet with the young offenders and their families to discuss their behaviour and the panel members will then devise a contract of activities the young person must complete whilst subject to their referral order.

Full training will be provided by the Havering Youth Offending Service.
