Green and Clean Campaign comes to Hornchurch
Havering Council’s Green and Clean campaign will be coming to Artesian Close in Hornchurch on Friday 28 April 2017.
The event is being run in partnership with the Artesian Close Community Housing Group.
From 10am until 1pm volunteers will be joining Council staff to tidy up the area, plant some flowering plants and shrubs as well as generally making it a more pleasant place to live.
Artesian Close Community Housing Group Chair, Brenda Hughes, said: “Artesian Close is a pleasant place to live but can always be better which is why we are taking part in this Clean and Green Day when volunteers will be joining Housing Services staff to plant some more flowers and shrubs.
“We hope they will make the gardens even more pleasant for us to enjoy during the summer.”
Deputy Leader of Havering Council and Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Damian White, said “Havering is very proud of being a green borough and our Community Clean-Ups are a way in which residents can help tidy up their area.
“Each month until October the Housing Services Community Engagement Team is coordinating clean-ups on different housing estates across Havering and we hope local residents will join in and help us make their area look good.”
