Living with Dementia? Support is at hand

Published: Thursday, 4 May 2017

People with dementia, carers or anyone interested in finding out about dementia are invited to attend a day of activities including information sessions, Singing for the Brain and Bollywood dancing.

The event is happening during this year’s Dementia Awareness Week (15 – 21 May), which aims to highlight the support available in Havering for those with, or supporting people with Dementia.

Barbara Nicholls, Director of Adult Social Care and Health for Havering Council, said:

“The event is open to everyone in Havering who would like to learn more about dementia. It is an opportunity to find out about the work the Havering Dementia Action Alliance is doing to help make life easier to manage for people living with dementia and their carers.

“There will also be an opportunity to find out how to become involved and more aware of our aim to make Havering a dementia- friendly community.”
