Young musicians awarded for their talent

Havering Young Musician’s Festival 2017 took place on Saturday 13 May at the Salvation Army Hall. The concert was organised by Havering Music School and included a night of high quality solo pieces played by talented young people in the borough.

Former Mayor of Havering Councillor Crowder awarded Keenan Ngo (piano) as Havering Young Musician 2017 and Caitlin Chan (cello) as Havering Junior Musician 2017. Keenan played Chopin’s Fantaisie-Impromptu Op.66 whilst Caitlin played the beautiful Requiebros by Cassadó.

The competition was supported by the London Symphony Orchestra.
