New Job Club launches in Hornchurch

Havering Council Housing Services is launching a new Job Club at Hornchurch Library on Thursday 3 August 2017.

This will be the fifth weekly Job Club run in partnership with the Citizen Advice Bureau, Havering and will meet between 10am and 1pm every Thursday.

Other job clubs run at:

  • Mardyke Community Centre, Rainham - Mondays 9am to 12 noon
  • North Romford Community Association, Collier Row - Tuesdays 10am to 1pm
  • Betty Strathern Centre, Harold Hill- Wednesdays 10am to 1pm
  • Havering Citizens Advice Bureau, Romford - Fridays 10am to 1pm

Deputy Leader of Havering Council and Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Damian White, said: “Our Job Clubs provide a drop-in facility for any Havering resident looking for work; providing help and assistance with everything from writing a CV to job searches on the internet.

“The Havering CAB staff also offer practice in writing application letters, being interviewed and how to dress to impress potential employers.

“With Hornchurch Job Centre scheduled to close in the not too distant future launching this new Job Club at the nearby Hornchurch Library will help provide support for job seekers in this part of our borough.”
