Halloween fun at Highview

Published: Thursday, 3 November 2016

More than 40 children brought their families to Highview Community Hall for an afternoon of Halloween fun and games on Friday 28 October.

Organised by the Highview Residents’ Association, with support from Housing Services Community Engagement team, the event proved popular with children able to make their own masks as cats, owls, witches or bats or finding themselves turned into pumpkins thanks to the face painting skills of the witches who came to the event.

Ghostly cup cake decorating proved popular as did the games played during the event in a hall which had been brilliantly redecorated by residents.

Deputy Leader of Havering Council and Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Damian White, said: ““The Highview Halloween Party proved very popular with children from the area coming along in fancy dress to join in the games and other activities as well as enjoying the ghostly grub and deadly drinks that were available.

“We are pleased to support residents’ groups which organise such community events and congratulate Highview Residents’ Association for such a fantastic event.”
