A well-attended Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the PETRA TMO (Tenant Management Organisation) this week saw residents praise the officers and staff for the high standards on the Hornchurch estate.

PETRA TMO Chair, Jan Davis, said: “We had a well-attended AGM with a good mix of tenants and leaseholders from the three blocks of flats we manage.

“We were particularly pleased with the positive feedback we received about the condition of the communal areas and grounds as well as the compliments about the quality of work done by our staff.

“There was also considerable interest in joining the Management Committee with eight tenants and one leaseholder being elected at the meeting to join the committee.”

Deputy Leader of Havering Council and Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Damian White, said: “We have three TMOs in Havering which manage social housing on behalf of Havering Council and are pleased that residents find the services they provide of a high quality.

“The feedback from the PETRA AGM was very positive and I look forward to seeing the result of the satisfaction survey they have recently conducted which will show where tenants believe a good job is being done and any areas where further improvements can be made.”

Officers elected for the next 12 months were:

  • Chair Jan Davis
  • Secretary Tricia Fitter
  • Treasurer Sheila Slater
