Summer fun in Havering

Havering Council has a range of activities that will help young people between the ages of eight and 18 to beat the potential boredom of the school summer holidays.

They can try out activities such as wildlife adventures, cartoon workshops, get on the youth bus to enjoy games, art and music. There is also a chance to try out any new football skills picked up from the recent World Cup at West Ham United’s football camp and at other locations across Havering.

The programme is spread across the borough to give children the chance to sample some new activities for free or at discounted prices.

Cllr Robert Benham, Cabinet Member for Children and Families, said:

“Summer is a great time of the year and the programme of events being offered by Havering should appeal to children of all ages who may be wondering how to fill their time.

"There are adventure days at Rainham Marshes, street dancing and the chance to get on board the youth bus to find out more about what is available for young people locally. There is something for everyone to enjoy.”
