Havering’s dog owners can get their pets health checked and the animals micro-chipped at no cost during a special event being held in Harold Hill.

Havering Council’s Housing Services Community Engagement team has teamed up with the Dog’s Trust to run the free event at Kingsbridge Circus, Harold Hill, RM3 8PB from 11am until 3pm on Tuesday 04 April.

Owners wanting their dogs neutered can make the arrangements at that event for a specially reduced fee.

Deputy Leader of Havering Council and Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Damian White, said: “A lot of Council tenants and leaseholders have dogs and we want to encourage responsible dog ownership which is why we have teamed up with the Dog’s Trust to run a series of events throughout the year.

“The first is in Harold Hill and we hope local dog owners will bring their pets along for a free health check and, if they haven’t already been micro-chipped get this done too as, since April 2016, the law has required all dogs to be micro-chipped.”
