Councillor Robert Benham, Cabinet Member for Children’s and Learning, said:

“The Get Creative Festival celebrates artistic participation of all kinds. All residents are welcome to attend the workshops, and find out how they can get creative and try something different, for free and right on their doorstep.”

Vedia Mustafa, organizer of Havering Adult College’s Get Creative Festival said:

“Last year, Havering Adult College was able to offer a large number of subject areas, highlighting the breadth of the creative offer available to residents and visitors in Havering. This year, we have added other subject areas such as languages and performing arts on top of our existing creative areas.

“As this year’s theme is around wellbeing, to link in with the 70th anniversary of the National Health Service, there are also a range of workshops promoting health and wellbeing. Participants from last year gave lots of positive comments on their learning experiences with people expressing interest in taking their learning further.”
