Baby D will perform at the Havering Show

Baby D, who is performing on Monday 27 August, wants to transport the crowds back to a time when people danced in the fields without a care in the world.
She told us:

“My dear pa was my first inspiration, he was half Sicilian/Maltese so I was brought up on Italian love songs - would you believe! My father also sang and always had a microphone in my face! So I owe it all to him really.

“I started off by doing backing vocals for various producers, and sang backing for Sinitta at one point! Eventually got introduced to Phil Fearon, and did backing vocals for his project which ended up as vocals for Galaxy! Phil was the next main man to make things happen by setting up his own label Production House and release tracks including Fantasy! The rest is history! Most memorable moment was winning the first ever Mobo Award.”

“I just love it when the audience are vibed up and singing back at me! It gives me goose bumps. Also, I adore meeting people and hearing all their stories especially about what Let Me Be Your Fantasy has meant to them over the years. I've had people get married to it, and have had people tell me they want it as their funeral song which is really touching.”
