Winners of Havering’s most prestigious event – Havering Business Awards 2017/18

There was glitter and glamour as Havering celebrated the achievements of local businesses at the borough’s biggest business event, which showcased local achievement last week at CEME, Rainham.
Havering Business Awards 2017/18 took place on Thursday 8 February, with over 60 business entries and 21 finalists competing for eight awards. The Mayor of Havering, politicians and media representatives attended to celebrate business community in Havering, and inspire each other for an evening of entertainment and success.
The event, which was hosted by Time 107.5 FM’s Mark Dover, saw eight awards presented to businesses and business people for all their hard work and contribution to Havering’s economy. The Business of the Year Award, which was selected from the winners of each category, was presented to The STC Group - a specialist training and employment company.
Jean Thomson from The STC Group, said: “We are completely shocked. We dedicate this award to the team and all their hard work. This award is for all the students and young people who have struggled to get a job in this borough.
“For the borough to recognise our work is also such a great feeling.”
