Safeguarding children

Multi-Agency Safeguarding Partnership

As a result of the Children and Social Work Act of 2017 and the Working Together Guidance of 2018, local authorities moved away from Local Safeguarding Children’s Boards, and adopted a multi-agency safeguarding arrangement.

The arrangement is designed to ensure that all agencies collaborate across shared priorities, aligning processes, and workforce development.

Our plan places the well-being and safety of our children and young people at the very heart of our arrangements and all our future work will be dictated by what will best meet their needs.
