This service is for residents of Havering and not for commercial waste.
Regular bulky collections
For a fee we can collect large items or items that you can't put in your usual rubbish and recycling bags.
The maximum height\length of items we can collect is 6 feet. This is due to the size of the trucks that collect the items.
We provide a collection service for items such as:
- white goods
- carpets / underlay
- sports equipment
- bags of bric-a-brac
- garden furniture
- bathroom fittings
Use our 'what item goes where' search facility to get information about all the items we will collect in a bulky collection.
For 1 to 3 items the cost is £55.
For every additional item the cost is £14.
This service is non-refundable. Refunds will not be given under any circumstances.
Book a collection
When you book online our form will ask you to agree to the terms and conditions of this service and then you can enter your address details.
You can then start selecting from our list of items we collect and it will automatically give you a price. You then select a general collection time eg 'in 2 weeks time' and book by paying.
We will then confirm the exact collection day for your items by email within 2 working days of receiving your application.
Please do make sure you check your email inbox, including your spam and junk folders for our reply and please get in touch if you do not see an email from us.
Alternatively you can call us on 01708 432563 to book between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Once your collection has been booked and paid for, your items should be left on the boundary of your property by 7am on the arranged day of collection.
We will not accept liability for loss or damage to property during the removal of items for collection. We reserve the right to refuse to remove any item on the grounds of inaccessibility or potential hazard to staff.
Clearing sofas, armchairs and dining chairs
When collecting bulky waste or clearing fly-tipping, our crews collect domestic seating such as sofas, armchairs and dining chairs separately.
Please don’t be surprised if the crews appear to have left them because they will be coming back for them.
More help with your waste?
It might be cheaper and better for the environment to recycle them. Reusing unwanted items is the most environmentally friendly way.
If your bulky item is of good quality and could be reused, for example white goods or furniture. TCL Reuse charity will possibly collect your item for free. You can call TCL on 020 8553 5880 to discuss further.
Please consider donating useful but unwanted items to your local charity shop or reuse organisation.
