My Ends Partnership: Romford (June 2024 to March 2026)
The My Ends Partnership in Romford was a community-led, partnership-driven initiative focused on reducing violence and anti-social behaviour in and around Romford Town Centre.
Funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) through the Violence Reduction Unit (VRU), the programme brought together local organisations, residents and partners to design and deliver hyper-local interventions for young people.
Between June 2024 and March 2026, the programme delivered a wide range of youth-focused activities, including mentoring, outreach, sports, creative programmes, youth engagement opportunities and community events.
The programme aimed to provide positive opportunities for young people, strengthen community relationships and increase access to support services.
What the programme delivered
The partnership
Established the Romford Unity Hub, a safe and supportive space for young people in Romford Town Centre, officially launched in January 2025 and donated by the railway service.
- Delivered youth mentoring, detached outreach and engagement programmes through local community organisations.
- Supported creative projects, youth-led media and podcasts, enabling young people to share their experiences and develop new skills.
- Delivered sports and physical activity sessions, including boxing, football and other diversionary activities.
- Engaged young people during peak risk times and provided opportunities to build confidence, resilience and positive connections within their community.
- Brought together statutory agencies, voluntary sector organisations and local residents to help create safer neighbourhoods.

The programme was coordinated by the Havering Community Safety Partnership and supported by a range of local organisations and community partners.

Programme legacy
The My Ends Partnership demonstrated the value of community-led approaches to violence reduction and youth engagement.
Through strong partnership working, the programme created positive opportunities for young people, strengthened local networks and contributed to longer-term community safety outcomes in Romford.
My Ends Partnership: Harold Hill (September 2026 to September 2027)
Building on the success of the Romford programme, the next phase of the My Ends Partnership will focus on Harold Hill from September 2026 to September 2027.
The programme will continue to deliver targeted, hyper-local interventions aimed at preventing violence, tackling anti-social behaviour and supporting young people most at risk of harm.
The Harold Hill programme will be coordinated through the Havering Community Safety Partnership and delivered by local community organisations with strong links to residents and young people.
