This is your area, your ideas and your future.

Pride in Place gives people in Harold Hill East the opportunity to shape the future of where they live.

With government funding available over the next 10 years, this is about putting residents in the driving seat, deciding what matters, what changes, and what gets invested in.

As set out in programme guidance, Pride in Place is designed so that local people, communities and businesses deliver the improvements that matter most to them.

Upcoming events

The Pride in Place Team will be attending these events in Havering.

  • Residents Engagement Day: 10 August 2026 at MyPlace
  • TBC: 22 August 2026 in Central Park
  • Clear Hold Build Engagement Day: 5 September 2026 in Central Park

What this means for you

This isn’t a top-down programme. It’s about you having a real say.

You can:

  • influence how funding is spent
  • share what needs to change in your neighbourhood
  • help shape projects and improvements locally
  • be part of decisions that affect your community

Whether it’s better spaces, stronger community connections, or new opportunities, your voice will help shape what happens next.

Led by local people

Pride in Place in Harold Hill East is guided by a local Neighbourhood Board, bringing together residents and community representatives.

  1. Decisions are shaped by local experiences
  2. Priorities come from what residents say matters most
  3. The focus is on long-term change, not short-term fixes

The Council supports this work, but the aim is clear: this is led by the community.

Get involved

There are lots of ways to take part, and we want to hear from you.

You can:

  • come along to local events and conversations
  • share your ideas and experiences
  • get involved in community projects
  • help shape plans for the future

If you care about your area, this is your chance to be part of the change.

If you would like to get involved or find out more, please contact: prideinplace@havering.gov.uk.

What’s happening now?

We’re already working with residents and local groups to understand what matters most in Harold Hill East.

This includes:

  • talking to people across the community
  • working with local organisations, schools and partners
  • creating opportunities for residents to shape future plans

This is just the start. More opportunities to get involved will follow as the programme develops.
