Following a decision by Parliament to reduce the number of constituencies in the UK to 600 from 650, and to ensure that the number of electors in each constituency is more equal, the Independent Boundary Commission for England (BCE) was asked to make independent recommendations about where the boundaries of English constituencies should be.
The proposals and maps for the nine English regions were published on their website.
An eight-week public consultation period ran until 11 December 2017.
This was the final time the public got a chance to give the Commission their views on the latest proposals before their recommendations were reported to Parliament in September 2018.
