Housing estate car parking space rental
Some of our housing estates offer parking spaces that you can rent from us.
Estates where spaces are available
- New Green Estate, Rainham RM13
Conditions
You can only apply for a space on the estate where you are a resident.
We will only offer a car parking space for the storage of domestic vehicles.
We will not rent car parking spaces to residents with rent or service charge arrears.
Allocations will be made in a date order system which means those who applied first before others will get spaces allocated first.
If a parking space is not available then you will be placed on a waiting list. We will contact you once a space becomes available.
We will only take two applications from one household once the waiting list is empty.
If a parking space is available, you will be asked to attend an appointment to sign a parking agreement with us. At the appointment you will need to provide us with:
- a current MOT certificate
- full driving licence
- certificate of motor insurance
- vehicle log book
Disabled spaces
We may on occasion have larger disabled parking spaces available for rent.
If we have such a disabled space we will let the space to a standard applicant but on the condition that if afterwards a disabled applicant applies, we will end the agreement and let it to the appropriate person.
In doing so however the person displaced will be placed on the top of the waiting list for the next available space.
Electric vehicle spaces
If you have an electric vehicle we cannot guarantee access to a charging point but we will allocate appropriate spaces if there are vacancies.
Paying for your garage
The current car park space charge is £7.45 per week and this cost is usually reviewed on an annual basis. Disabled applicants may be eligible for a discount on this fee.
If you are a private resident you will have to also pay VAT, which is currently an additional 20 percent
All payments are to be made by Direct Debit and we will get in touch with you about how we will take your payment if your application is accepted.
