Disruptions to rubbish and recycling collections Monday 25 June 2018

Due to an unforseen incident we have not been able to collect rubbish and recycling from Wembley Close, Gelsthorpe Road and Clockhouse Lane (from Burland to the roundabout). Please keep your rubbish and recycling on your boundary overnight and we will attempt to collect again tomorrow. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Hazardous waste

We do not provide a hazardous waste collection service.

If you need to find a specialist provider to remove hazardous waste, please contact the Environment Agency for information or use the Yellow Pages.

Always check with the Environment Agency that the company is correctly licensed.

Hazardous waste items include:

  • asbestos
  • chemicals (eg. brake fluid or print toner)
  • batteries
  • solvents
  • pesticides
  • inedible oils (eg. car oil)
  • equipment containing ozone depleting substances (eg. fridges)
  • hazardous waste containers.
