Self-drive assessment

Self-drive assessment 16 seat minibus (For Council employees or affiliated groups)

To hire a self-drive minibus you will be required to take a driving assessment test which ensures that you are capable of handling a vehicle of this size.

A driving assessment test must be carried out before hire to cover the driver on our insurance.

The cost of each driving assessment test is £70* or, if you are using your own minibus for the test the price is £60*.

*Prices subject to annual review

Tests can be held at our Rainham Road depot or they can be held at your facility.

On completion of the driving assessment test, successful drivers will be issued with a Havering Council Mini Bus Permit allowing them to drive council minibus' under our insurance.

Each permit has an individual permit number which will need to be quoted when ordering a self drive vehicle.
