If you do not want to apply online through the Planning Portal you can download the relevant form below and submit it to us with your supporting documents and fee.

You can pay by cheque or debit card. We don't take cash payments.

The card payments can be accepted over the telephone Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm by calling 01708 433100 or 01708 432700. Please note the minimum amount we can accept by card payment is £5.

In order to submit a valid planning application, in most cases, a fee will be needed. You can calculate the fee using the Planning Portal fee calculator.

If your proposal relates to a flat or maisonette or the construction of a new dwelling then please use the full planning permission form.

Householder application for planning permission for works or extension to a dwelling

This form should be used specifically for larger single storey rear extensions (up to 6m for an attached property or up to 8m for a detached property) proposed under the legislation of 2013.  

You are reminded that works must not commence until the submitted application has run its course.

Prior approval for larger home extensions

Following a grant of planning permission, it may be necessary to make small amendments to the permission, for example moving a door or window.

Where these are non-material this form can be used to apply.

Whether or not a proposed amendment is non-material will depend on the circumstances of the case for example moving a window could be material if it results in the overlooking of a neighbour, but could be non-material if it does not. If you are uncertain you may wish to seek pre-application advice.
