Supporting documents

Please ensure you have the correct documentation before you apply for your licence.

In order to streamline the licensing process we may not ask you to submit documents at the time of making your licence application but you will be required to produce documents at a later date.

Please be aware that failure to produce documents when requested is a breach of licence conditions and may result in prosecution or a financial penalty.

Documentation When it is required
A valid gas certificate At time of application
Details of any other properties that the proposed licence holder has licences for (in and out of the borough) At time of application (if applicable)
For properties with multiple households, the size and number of habitable rooms At time of application
Notification of application to interested parties At time of application
Energy performance certificate At time of application
Floor plans At time of application
Tenancy or licence agreement including tenancy deposit scheme Within 28 days of request
Tenant references Within 28 days of request
Fire safety evacuation Within 28 days of request
Electrical safety certificate from an accredited body Within 28 days of request
