Covid 19 - Advice for the clinically extremely vulnerable On 6 September 2021, the UK Government decided that the Shielding Programme and support to the clinically extremely vulnerable (CEVs) would end. This includes the online shielding system that was started in March 2020 and the role lead Local Authorities have played in supporting vulnerable people in their areas.
