Help with the My Havering account
Some of our online forms can only be filled in if you have an online account with us. This is so you can track the progress of your service requests online or, because of the type of request, we need to collect certain details as a confirmation about who you are, such as parking permits.
How do you register for a My Havering account?
You can register by going to www.havering.gov.uk/myhavering or you will be prompted to register when trying to access a form that needs you to have an account with us.
Enter your email address in the email address box under 'New users' and then click the 'Register' button.
The screen will refresh and it will ask for further details. Please answer these questions. When it asks for your address you need to enter your door number and postcode and click the 'find address' button.
Please then select your address from the drop down menu.
Once you have entered all your details and created a password, click the 'Register button at the bottom of the page you are on.
You should then shortly receive an email with a link in it saying 'Activate your account'.
Click this and it will take you to a web page advising that you have successfully registered.
Now go back to www.havering.gov.uk/myhavering enter your email and password in the 'Existing users' box and click 'Sign in'.
It may be the case that if you were prompted to login when trying to submit one of our forms that you now need to go back to the form page you were on.
The My Havering account activation email
When you register for an online account you are shown a successful submission page which tells you that an activation email has been sent to your email account.
Look in your email account and there should be an email with the subject line 'Registering for an online account with Havering: Please activate your new account'
If you haven't received the activation email give it some time as it can take up to 30 minutes.
It is possible that the activation email has ended up in your junk folder. You can set your email account to accept emails from no-reply@havering.gov.uk in the future.
If the email isn't in your spam folder then something has gone wrong. We may be having problems with our systems or you may have entered your email incorrectly.
Please go to the resend account activation page to request that another email is sent.
Please make sure you are entering your email address correctly. If the above page tells you that the email address is not associated with a customer account it is likely that you entered your email address wrong when you first registered. Please go to the registration page and start again.
Forgotten passwords
If you are trying to log in but cant remember your password then you can request we send you an email to reset your password. Visit the reset password page and enter the email address you used to register with.
If you no longer have access to the email address you registered with then you will need to register again.
Locked accounts
If you attempt to login six times without entering the correct password your account will be locked. To unlock your account visit the unlock account page and follow the instructions.
