Storm Eunice: A statement from the Leader of the Council
Councillor Damian White, Leader of Havering Council, said:
“Council staff are working tirelessly to keep the borough safe, maintain key services and support our residents in the face of Storm Eunice.
“Our crews have been out since the early hours responding to many incidents – including fallen trees, lamp posts and damage to buildings.
"As we continue to respond to these challenges – please be mindful our emergency lines are very busy and we are doing our best to help everyone.
“We ask you to help us weather the storm by staying inside and to only travel if absolutely necessary. We will also be on hand to help with recovery once storm Eunice has passed.
“In the meantime, look out for each other, and stay safe.“
