Havering Council has teamed up with Rebel Business School once again with a free 10-day online course, helping local residents turn their business ideas into a reality.

The programme, run by the business school on behalf of Havering, is designed to help people to take those first steps in creating a new small business.

The intensive course will teach new and prospective entrepreneurs about creating business plans, funding and finance options, building a website and social media platforms, as well as introducing their products to the market.

The course will also help with registering a company and ensuring all of the legal documents are up to date.

Participants will also learn about avoiding any of the pitfalls faced in the first years of business.

Outside of the traditionally stuffy classroom environment, the virtual course is split over 10 days, with different topics covered each day.

This gives participants the freedom to drop in and out on the workshops that are relevant.

The programme begins on Monday 6 June 2022 through to Friday 17 June 2022, with workshops running from 10am – 3pm.

Neil Stubbings, Director of Regeneration for Havering Council, said:

“We’re thrilled to be working with Rebel Business School once more on this exciting project.

“The last couple of years have showed people across the country that there are different ways to do business.

"There has never been a better time to turn your hobby into a viable business model.

“Havering has a track record of nurturing entrepreneurs and start-ups.

"Whether this is your first time, or you’ve tried your hand at running a small business in the past, I’d encourage you to sign up and start your new business today.”

The course is completely free, but places are limited.
