As part of the Where We Live campaign, we are shining a spotlight on the many dedicated residents and volunteers who are already making a difference by picking up litter in their community.
These groups play a vital role in keeping our borough clean, alongside the Council’s street cleaning and ground maintenance teams.
This week, we highlight the efforts of the Romford Town Wombles group, who have been hard at work cleaning up the King Edward Road, Mercury Gardens, and Victoria Road areas.
Last week, these volunteers helped clear rubbish from areas such as planters, flower beds, and spaces under bushes and trees.
The litter was then collected by the Council’s street cleaning teams and FCC, helping to maintain clean and safe public spaces for everyone.
