Reed Pond Walk Copse was formally dedicated as a village green on Saturday 30 August 2025.

The event brought together the local community and Marhsalls and Rise Park ward councillors, Philippa Crowder and Robby Misir along with Graham Williamson, Cabinet Lead for Development and Regeneration, and Ray Morgon, Leader of Havering Council, who said:

“I’m so pleased to be able to see the local support for our village green programme, and the wider benefits that protecting these much-loved green spaces for future generations means to everyone.

“It’s not just about having a local space to look at, valuable public spaces such as Reed Pond Walk Copse Village Green have a positive effect on residents’ wellbeing, too.”

Cakes and refreshments were supplied by the ward councillors and community lead, Linda Jupp.
