Rollalong, leading provider of innovative housing solutions, has been awarded the new contract by Wates Residential and Havering Council to supply temporary modular homes at Waterloo and Queen Street.
The project involves the manufacture and installation of 18 modular homes, which were granted planning permission in May this year, and will provide safe and comfortable living spaces for Havering families currently in temporary accommodation.
These homes are designed to be easily relocated, making them an ideal solution for temporary housing requirements as the Wates Residential and Havering Council 12 Estates regeneration develops.
They will feature modern amenities and energy-efficient designs, ensuring that residents have access to comfortable and environmentally friendly living conditions.
Councillor Ray Morgon, Leader of Havering Council, said:
“This contract underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable and efficient temporary housing solutions to meet the urgent needs of our homeless families.
"It will help to reduce our dependency and the significant costs on hotel and hostel accommodation.”
Paul Nicholls, Regional Managing Director for London at Wates, said:
"Partnering with Rollalong for this pilot project marks a significant milestone in our efforts to deliver first-rate, temporary modular homes here in Havering.
"Rollalong's wealth of experience and ability to produce such high-quality modular buildings makes them a valuable addition to the team.
"These new homes will offer essential accommodation to vulnerable families in the borough, giving them the chance to regain stability and rebuild their lives with dignity.”
Paul Jones, Director at Rollalong, said:
“We are thrilled to have been selected for this important project.
“Our modular homes are not only quick to install, but also built to the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
“We look forward to working closely with the joint venture partners to deliver these homes and help make a positive impact on homelessness in the borough.”
