The two pioneering supported housing schemes at Riverstone House in Mawneys and Laws Park in Mowbrays have achieved full occupancy.
Riverstone House now supports eight young adults as they transition toward independent living, with on-site support and overnight facilities to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
Laws Park House is home to six adults with varying levels of learning disabilities, offering fully accessible, self-contained units and communal spaces to promote independence and community engagement.
The homes, at the previous garage sites in both locations, feature sustainable technologies including electric heat pumps, underfloor heating and solar panels to align with the Council’s environmental goals.
Councillor Natasha Summers, Cabinet Member for Housing Need, said:
“Achieving full occupancy at these schemes is a testament to how we’re future-proofing housing and care services in Havering.
“We’re thrilled that these homes become vibrant communities where residents can thrive with the support they need.
“This milestone marks a new chapter in Havering’s mission to provide compassionate, community-based housing solutions for those who need it most.”
