Havering Council is proud to announce that its joint venture with Wates Residential has been named Best Partnership yesterday (Thursday 20 November 2025) at the prestigious NLA Awards.
This accolade recognises the strength of collaboration and shared vision driving one of London’s most ambitious regeneration programmes.
Councillor Graham Williamson, Cabinet Member for Development and Regeneration, said:
“We were delighted to attend the awards as guests of Wates Residential and share this achievement together.
“We particularly appreciated that our Park Rise development (for Havering residents over 55 years) was acknowledged as exemplar in that field.
"This win highlights the importance of our partnership in delivering real change for Havering residents.
"Together, we are creating thriving communities and setting a benchmark for sustainable development.”
Joe Arthur, Head of Development for Wates Residential London said:
“We are incredibly proud of what our partnership with Havering Council has achieved over the past seven years and delighted to see this recognised at the NLA Awards.
“This win reflects our shared commitment to creating homes and communities where people can truly thrive.
“It was a great day celebrating with our partners and looking ahead to the exciting schemes we will continue to deliver together.”
The partnership is already transforming Havering through a long-term programme to deliver thousands of new homes, with a strong focus on affordability, social value, and community benefits.
Joint venture work continues on Blocks 9 and 10 at Waterloo and Queen Street, to provide 107 affordable homes, as well as the modular homes to help homeless Havering families. Progress continues in Harold Hill at the Chippenham Road and Farnham and Hilldene sites.
