Park Primary Academy, a brand-new school at the heart of the Beam Park regeneration scheme, has officially opened,
This milestone marks a significant step in delivering high-quality education and community infrastructure for one of the borough’s most ambitious developments.
The opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony on 28 November, attended by the Leader of Havering Council, Ray Morgon, and representatives from Partnership Learning, Department for Education, Vistry Group, L&Q, and Kier - the construction firm behind the build.
Located on Hart Way, Park Primary Academy sits within the first two completed phases of Beam Park, which spans both Havering and Barking and Dagenham boroughs, and have already delivered 1,158 new homes and vital community facilities including a health centre, nursery, and green spaces such as Central Park – a riverside area with play facilities for children.
When complete, Beam Park will provide two schools, retail spaces, a gym, a multi-faith centre, with 58% of the development dedicated to open space.
Councillor Ray Morgon, Leader of Havering Council, said:
“We’re delighted to see Beam Park School officially open its doors, providing a fantastic new facility for local families and a strong foundation for our children’s future.
"We’ve always believed that regeneration should go hand in hand with strong community infrastructure, and it’s great to see that vision becoming reality.
"This is an important milestone in delivering the infrastructure our growing community needs, and we hope it will soon be followed by equally welcome news about Beam Park Station.
"We wish all school staff, pupils and parents every success and happiness as they begin this exciting new chapter.”
